Koki Matsuda, an APF graduate and second-year prof

Koki Matsuda, an APF graduate and second-year professional player, won his first ITF Tour doubles title on June 1st. (M25/Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kiseljak) His partner was Rio Noguchi. They both went to the same high school, and Noguchi is Matsuda’s senior. The matches were very close, with both the semifinal and final going to a final set tiebreak (SF 10-8, F 11-9). This will be a memorable victory. Matsuda said, “I will do my best to win in singles next time!” It is a tough world, but we hope to see his success at Roland Garros happening around the same time!
